First Methodist Opelika’s Church Communications Director is a part-time, strategic leadership role responsible for telling the story of what God is doing in and through our church. This individual will lead and implement a unified communications strategy that supports the church’s mission, aligns with our values, and connects people to the life and message of Jesus.
The Communications Director will oversee all aspects of internal and external communications, including digital, print, and brand-related messaging. This position leads a team of talented volunteers and college interns and ensures clarity, consistency, and creativity across all platforms — website, social media, email, Sunday morning materials, and beyond. The director will collaborate with ministry leaders to support events, campaigns, and discipleship pathways with compelling storytelling and design.
This role offers the opportunity to shape how our church engages with the community and each other by celebrating God’s work and inviting people to respond. The Communications Director plays a vital role in helping our church speak with one clear voice to inspire faith and action.

Auburn Grace Chinese Christian Church, a newly founded non-denominational church, is seeking one or two youth/children Sunday school teacher(s)/worship leader(s), responsible for evangelizing and discipling young people (age 6~14 years old) in the local community. The primary goal of this position is to lead and help young people develop a growing relationship with Christ through effective evangelical strategies (i.e., Bible study, Sunday School, worship). The working hours are from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on Sunday mornings. The selected person(s) should love the Lord above all, demonstrate in-depth bible knowledge and a growing Christian faith, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and maintain good relations with young people. Specifically, this person will be responsible for developing Sunday School lessons and worship plans and addressing students’ needs. This person directly reports to the AUGCCC’s youth/children teaching team leader. Hourly pay is based on qualifications and experience. There is a three-month probation period for the position, which will be renewed annually based on the individual's performance and the recommendation of the AUGCCC's Deacons' Board.

The Director of Worship ensures that all worship services are Spirit led, biblically grounded, and aligned with the church’s mission and values. This involves designing and leading worship experiences that foster spiritual growth, integrating biblical depth, musical excellence, and innovation. The DOW recruits, trains, and empowers worship teams and volunteers, ensuring excellence in all aspects of worship preparation, rehearsal, and execution. Regular evaluation of worship efforts will be key to improving and ensuring spiritual impact.
Beyond service management, the DOW’s role is to create holistic worship experiences that guide individuals at all stages of faith toward transformative growth. The DOW will balance awakened traditions with a variety of worship expressions, engaging the church’s multi-generational congregation. Utilizing choirs, worship teams, multimedia, and technology, the DOW will craft experiences that deepen the congregation’s connection with God and inspire them to live as Kingdom Ambassadors. Collaboration with ministry leaders will ensure worship aligns with the broader mission of the church.
